Mustard from Lehnsgaard

Mustard from Bornholm

In the old days, people on Bornholm made their own mustard by using a wooden cask and a cannon ball. Lehnsgaard mustard is based on this tradition, and mild as well as strong mustards are made. The mustard seeds are grown by farmers on Bornholm and exist in two variants: brown and yellow mustard seeds. The production of mustard takes place at the oil mill in the town of Aakirkeby, where the seeds are lovingly rinsed and ground in the mill’s stone grinder. Among other things, mustard from Lehnsgaard contains both beer from Svaneke Bryghus and rapeseed oil from our own production. This is local craftmanship.
